Accomodation

You will stay in a three-star hotel in Kathmandu and Pokhara as per B/B. Accommodation in Dhampus and Sarangkot villages includes lodging in a hotel with basic furnished rooms and attached bathroom.

Meals

A traditional meal in the village is Dal-Bhat, cooked rice with lentil soup, along with freshly cooked vegetables and pickles.  You can have other dishes as per the menu of the hotel. Meals in Kathmandu and Pokhara include only breakfast. You are free to choose where to eat and what to eat in the city.

Travel season

The trip is accessible all around the year except during the rainy days. The muddy trails might hamper your trekking and cloudy days are not enjoyable as it hides the essence of the Himalayas. Spring and autumn seasons are best as the weather is very clear with much greenery and clean vistas.

Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu (1350m)

A Himalayan monk representative will pick you up at the Tribhuwan International airport in Kathmandu and transfer you to a hotel on B/B basis. After some refreshment in the hotel, you can visit our office to discuss our tour and trekking, the required items and equipment. We also have an opening welcome dinner to further inquire about the trip.

Day 2: Sightseeing in Kathmandu

We tour Kathmandu valley for all the famous locations like the Pashupatinath temple, Swyambhu stupa, Boudha Stupa, Durbar square with the help of our city guide. In the evening you can stroll around Thamel to buy any required items or equipment for the trek. Have your dinner as per your liking and stay at the night at the same hotel.

Day 3: Kathmandu to Pokhara (820m; 6 hrs)

We will drive for about 6 hrs to reach Pokhara city. We will require a whole separate day to tour the beautiful Pokhara city and the wonders around it. So, we just take a stroll around the beautiful Phewa Lake in the evening and enjoy the lakeside ambiance. Stay the night at a hotel on B/B basis.

Day 4: Drive to Phedi and trek to Dhampus (1750m; 3-4 hrs)

In the morning we have our breakfast and drive from the hotel till Phedi to the north-west of Pokhara. From this point, we trek about 3-4 hours to reach the cultural heritage Dhampus with beautiful mountain sceneries. You can enjoy the village lifestyle and the sunset view along with the fading Himalayan range. Stay the night at a lodge on full board.

Day 5: Trek to Sarangkot (1590m; 4 hrs)

After breakfast, we trek for about 4 hours to reach Sarangkot. It is considered the best viewpoint for sunrise and sunsets. We also have the view of chains of mountain ranges to the north including the Annapurna, Machhapuchhare and Manasalu Himalayan ranges. There is also a paragliding spot in Sarangkot and you can see gliders hovering in the blue sky above the Pokhara valley. Stay the night at a lodge on full board.

Day 6: Return to Kathmandu via Pokhara (6 hrs)

We wake up early to witness the uncovering beauty of the Annapurna region with the sunrise. Sarangkot is a hill station with a refreshing atmosphere surrounded by greenery and great views of Himalayan mountain ranges, and a beautiful view of the Pokhara city along with the famous Fewa lake. We will depart from Sarangkot after breakfast and return to Kathmandu via Pokhara and through the mesmerizing route along the Seti and Trishuli rivers. In Kathmandu stay the night in a hotel as per B/B plan

Day 7: Departure at the airport.

We bid you farewell on your final day in Nepal. A Himalayan monk representative will drop you at the airport and you depart from Nepal. We hope you have enjoyed your stay and will come soon to visit other interesting places as well.
