Trip Indroduction

Panchase Short Trek, a popular package under Short Trek in Nepal takes you to the Panchase village, located to the west of the beautiful Pokhara city. Trekking to Panchase is a short trek suitable for all age groups of people including children. If you are new to trekking, this could be your starting point as Panchase trek is an easy walk through the mountain forests with the wonderful backdrop of the Himalayan range.

Panchase short trek begins by crossing the Fewa Lake in Pokhara, and climbing a gradual uphill till you reach the top. At the hilltop, you will find the ‘Bishwo Shanti stupa’, which is also known as the’ World Peace Pagoda’. You will pass through paddy rice fields, banana trees at the ridges of the hill and trail through the rhododendron forest. The area is prosperous for providing various types of orchid flowers. You will be rewarded with the stunning view of the great snow-capped mountains like the Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchhare, and Manaslu. You will even get to observe as well as experience the different cultures across the villages. The villagers belong to different ethnic groups like Brahmins, Magars, and Gurung. The daily life of the people in the countryside will surely amaze you.

The Panchase short trekking is also considered the best trek for practicing meditation. Being a short trek, it doesn’t require hours of walking, and instead, you can focus on other aspects of the trek, like meditation. The serene environment is perfect for yoga and meditation. The early sunrise over the Himalayan peaks provides you the mental boost to start your routine yoga and meditation practice. It is said that centuries ago monks used to practice meditation amidst the peaceful nature of Panchase. A similar package like Panchase Trek is Sikles Short Trek. It would not be surprising if you find wonderful vibes for a calm meditation session here. Himalayan Monk Travels & Treks is always with you to prepare you for any challenges and will accompany you throughout your trekking in Nepal.

Every tea house serve you the refreshing Nepali milk tea, that you can alternate it with black tea, lemon tea or a more traditional type of tea made with ghee and salt. It would be good to take along some snacks such as energy bars and chocolates to treat yourself during the trek and re-energize.

Travel season

The trip is accessible all around the year, but it is reasonable not to travel during the monsoon season of Nepal which falls between June to August. The muddy trails might hamper your trekking and cloudy days are not enjoyable as it hides the essence of the Himalayas. Trekking to Panchase during winter is also safe since it does not rise to much high altitude. The winter days are sunny but cold and chilly during nights till dawn. It would be a good season to enjoy the moment alone.

Spring and autumn are the best season to trek in Nepal. During these months the weather is clear with much green surrounding and clean vistas. Spring season (March-May) bring out the vibrant colour of Nature. The forest and trail is lively with many types of flora and fauna enjoying the warm season after the harsh winter. Autumn (September-November) is also a cool season to travel as the environment is fresh after the showers. The scene of the Himalayan mountain range is also a crystal clear view. Trekking during this season is neither hot nor cold, making it a pleasant and relaxing journey in the countryside environment.
